October 1, 2026 Update:
The Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park has posted a notice that Old Slater Mill is currently closed to the public, until further notice. The park grounds remain open for visitors. A temporary contact station with basic visitor services will be set up outdoors. Rangers will provide informal interpretation of the site. There are currently no restrooms available onsite.
Old Slater Mill Association has no knowledge of the reasons for this closure. Please contact the Park for more information.
